Utah State Boot Camp Recap

Utah State Boot Camp Recap

This blog post was written by Rome Ceja, our Regional Program Manager for the Utah North area.

Surrounded by some of the most beautiful mountains in the state, Utah State University is nestled in the middle of Cache Valley. This gorgeous setting was home to our annual LIA Boot Camp.

Students came here for a three-day training full of workshops,

activities,

and new experiences.

As soon as they got off the buses they were excited and ready to go!

The first day the students got to participate in Masterminds, where they learned to set personal goals which would later help them with creating team goals. Later that afternoon the students participated in water activities, rock climbing and enjoyed state-famous Aggie’s ice cream. The second day was full of professional student development workshops and activities followed by an etiquette dinner where students got the opportunity to hear and learn from some amazing panel speakers, including Luz Escamilla from the Utah State Senate.

On the final day, students got into their Mastermind groups and planned the details of their first Mastermind goal! The students were motivated and inspired as they worked together in their school leadership teams.
